FAQs
Can't I just hire a full-time designer to do this?
It’s a good question! Currently in the UK, the monthly cost of a full-time senior designer on the same level as myself exceeds £3,500, and the annual rate is over £42,000, plus benefits (and good luck finding one available). Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you’re stuck paying for time you aren’t able to utilise.
With our monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you’re only paying your designer when you have work available for them.
Do you have a limit on the amount of requests I can put through?
Nope, not at all! Once subscribed, you’re able to add as many design requests to your queue as you’d like, and they will be delivered one by one until they’re all complete.
How long do I have to wait to recieve the designs?
On average, most requests are completed in just three days or less. However, this is dependant on the request compelxity.
Who are the designers?
You might be surprised to hear this, but Lake Valley Highland is actually a studio of one that’s based in the Lake District, UK. This means you’ll work directly with me, founder of the studio with 8 years of experience in many different design setting and skills. However, I don’t offer everything, which I talk about in another question.
Is there any design work that you don't cover?
Absolutely. Lake Valley Highland does not cover the following design work: 3D modeling, animated graphics (GIFS, etc.), app development, document design (medical forms, etc.), complex packaging, photoshop mockups (or any mockups in general), and extensive print design (magazines, books, etc.).
How do you create your designs?
Most requests are designed using Adobe software like Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, but I also use Figma. My websites are built on either Webflow or WordPress using the Divi builder.
How do I request designs?
We offer a ton of flexibility in how you request designs using Trello. Some common ways clients request designs are directly through Trello, sharing Google docs or wireframes, or even recording a brief Loom video (for those who prefer not to write their briefs out). Basically, if it can be linked to or shared in Trello, it’s fair game.
What's the 'pause' feature?
Sometimes you may not have enough design work to fill up an entire month, or perhaps you only have one or two design requests at the moment. That’s where pausing your subscription comes in.
Billing cycles are based on 31-day periods. Let’s say you sign up and use the service for only 10 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you’ll have 21 days of service remaining to be used anytime in the future.

What if I don't like the design?
No worries! We’ll continue to revise the design until you’re 100% satisfied.
What if I only have one request?
That’s fine. You can pause your subscription when you’re finished and return when you have additional design needs. There’s no need to let the remainder of your subscription go to waste.
Can I ask for a refund if I don't like the service?
Due to the high-quality nature of the work, there will be no refunds issued.
